FEW ACCIDENTS.

WEEjK-END MISHAPS. ONE HEAD-ON COLLISION. Few accidents occurred in the city and province during the week-end. Two persons at Auckland and one at Te Rapa were injured, though not seriously, when they were knocked down by motor cars. There was a head-on collision between two cars on the (ireat South Road near Drury early yesterday morning, but no one was injured. . KNOCKED DOWN BY CARS. TWO PEDESTRIANS HURT. Two persons were injured when they were knocked down by motor care on Saturday evening.' Both were taken to the Auckland Hospital by St. John ambulance, and in neither case was the condition of the patient serious to-day. Mr. Frederick William Green, a widower, aged 55, of 16, Franklin Road, Ponsonby, suffered concussion and a fractured leg, the accident occurring at the corner of Angleeea Street and Ponsonby Road. Mrs. Jean Stevenson, of 14. Nugent Street. Grafton, aged 62, a widow, suffered concussion. The accident occurred soon after 6 o'clock, on Parnell Road. PEDESTRIAN INJURED. Knocked down by a motor car when crossing the road near his son's home at Te Rapa. on Saturday, Mr. Edward Harrison Jull, aged 72. a retired farmer, suffered a fractured ankle and abrasions to the head and body. A St. John ambulance took him to the Waikato Hospital, but his condition is not serious. HEAD-ON COLLISION. Two drivers, Mr. Dowden, of Auckland, and Mr. R. L. Pepperell. a taxidriver, of Te Awamutu, had lucky escapes from injury when their cars came into head-on collision on the road between the hotel and the bridge at Drury shortly before 1 o'clock yesterday morning. Neither man was hurt, and the only damage to the cars was done to the radiators, mudguards, and bumpers, which buckled under the full 6hock of the impact. FOOTBALLER INJURED. Concussion was suffered by Thomas Leo Conway, aged 24. of 31. Ataransri Road, Green Lane, a glass worker, while playing in a senior Rugby League match on Saturday afternoon. He was taken in a St. John ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, where his condition today was not serious.
