SUCCESSFUL.

PUNTERS ON MARK.

NURSERY TO ORELIO.

PADDY THE MP AGAIN

Brinatinn put up a fine performance to win the Orer Lynn Hurdles. He took charge about six furlongs from home and was never afterwards bended. Electric Flash ran a much better race than she did on the first day, and only for making a faulty jump at the last fence she may have been second. Simint cut her out of that position by a narrow margin. When they settled down Atta Jack, C'hikara, Queen Lu, Simint and Te Monatekapa were the most prominent. Atta Jack led over the tan, from Queen Lu, Te Monatekapa, Simint, Chikara, Electrio Flash and Erination. Electric Flash then moved up fast and was in charge along the back from Atta Jack, C'hikara, Queen Lu, Erination and Simint. Erination ran to the front before the six furlong post was reached and led by a length from Electric Flash and Queen Lu, with Te Monatekapa and Simint next. There was not much alteration at the home turn and, once over the last fence, Erination had no difficulty in winning by four lengths from Simint, who came on well to defeat Electric Flash by three-quarters of a length. Car Leaf, Chikara, Te Monatekapa and Wee Pat were next. Queen Lu fell at the second to last obstacle and Wee Pat was lame on returning to scale. Not So Hard. Despite the fact that he was drawn fairly wide out, Orelio, the favourite, Was soon in front in the Nursery Handled p, and he went on to win most decisively. Meliora was always prominent, and should improve a good deal, (iret'k Queen finished on to get third, while .m Vie ran an encouraging race. May Movie and Orelio were the first to wliow out, but Orelio noon ran to the front, with Meliora, La Vie, Varlmond ami (iay Movie next. Orelio led Into the* straight just clear of Meliora, Gay .Movie, La Vie and Varimond, and went on to win by two lengths from Meliora, who beat Greek Queen by a nci k. La \ i,. was next, followed by Norman Fox, Varimond and Lysis. Second Success. Hiintingmore was preferred to Faddy the Hi]t in the Spring Handicap, the latter, who was ridden by O. Smith, only 14 years of age and a son of the trainer and having his first mount in a race, being second fancy. Hiintingmore had every -how. but failed badly in the straight.' Paddy the Kip wm always well placed and linished on very strongly over the three furlongs to score decisively, Erlick came from a good wayhack to get second. Maxam led along the ~nk and was attended across the top by Sir Tommy, Phildale, Paddy the Hip, Jfuntingmore. Spearford, High Sea. arid oh inn ha. Maxam was first into line from Sir Tommy, Paddy the Rip, Hiintingmore and Spearford. Half-way down the straight Paddy the Rip dashed to the front and went on to win by a length and a half from Erlick, who beat Maxam l.y a neck. Ohmaha was fourth, followed by Kotahi Acre, Pocket Venus, Prival and Eastern Heir. Consistency Rewarded. Kena wan ridden a very patient race In the Plumpton Handicap. Half a mile from home there wm only one horse '-Gold \"a«U—behind him, but when they turned for home he was up with the leaders and finished on very determinedly to score by a narrow margin. Hold Vtmu tailed the Held until the fast furlong and then put In an attractive *»n to appear to be a likely winner. Ho was unlucky to be beaten. Enge **as in the picture until the Held wa* half way up the straight, but then failed to run on. Going out of the straight after the «t«irt Round Up was leading Francis Drake. Malaglgi and Ned Cuttle, *ith Enge and Gold Vaals (several lengths i„„.k) last. Along the back Hound l|, w,is hist In front ot Francis frrnko. with ' Malagisl and Enge (together) next, the order of the others bein,. t)| ( . entile There wa« no change crn«vi,i L . the lop to the run home, but there | lie field- bunched and Francis Drake. Knge. Ned Cuttle and Kena were practically nl.reast. So thev straightened up for the dash to the winning po-t. with Gold Vaals still last. Kena tackled Ensrc half way down the straight, but Kena finished on best to win by half a length from Gold Vaale. who camo from the rear, with Ned Cuttle a neck away. Enge wis neat and then came Malaglgi, Francla Drake and Round Cp.
