PRESENTATIONS.
A silver tea service and a library clock were yesterday presented to Mr. J. T. C'oote, formerly assistant manager of the Pacific Cable Board in Xew Zealand, who recently retired after over 35 years' service. Mr. C. T. Halstead, manager in New Zealand for Cable and Wireless, Limited, ntade .the presentation and stated that Mr. Coote's service had been a memorable one and one of which he could be justly proud. Mr. Halstead extended good wishes on behalf of the members of the Auckland staff, and the staffs of cable stations between the east coast of Canada and the west coast of Australia. The Chief Postmaster, Mr. W. G. Cooper, spoke 011 behalf of his Department.
