LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.

Remuera, No. 3.—The monthly meeting of the League of Mothers, Remuera No. 3 branch, was presided over by Mrs P. D. Wright. Mrs. Wright thanked the members for flowers and good wishes during her illness. Two songs rendered by Mrs. Grigg were much appreciated. The speaker for the afternoon was Mrs. F. N. Whyte, whose subject was "Women of the New Testament." The Scripture reading was given by Mrs. McPhie. Dominion Road: At a recent meeting of the Dominion Road branch the annual election of officers was held, when the following were elected:—President, Mrs. C. Creeks; vice-presidents, Mrs. J. Sims and Mrs. W. H. Hinkley; secretary, Mrs. J. M. Hinkley; assistant secretary, Mrs. Worms; treasurer, Mrs. Curd; committee, Mesdames White, Owers, Williams, Kewish and Hooper; tea convener, Mrs Whalley. Manurewa: The annual meeting of the Manurewa branch of the League of Mothers was presided over by the vicepresident, Mrs. J. Muir. The secretarv's report was read by Mrs. G. J. Nicholas, and the treasurer's report by Mrs. A. Collie. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mrs. Haughey; vice-presidents. Mesdames RusselL Coppins and Middleton. The retiring president, Mrs. A. C. A. Sexton, was the recipient of a presentation by members. Mrs. Nicholas was presented with ai suitable gift, and both received floral emblems. '
