WOMEN'S INSTITUTES.
Buckland.—The monthly meeting of the Buck-land's Beach Institute was presided, over by Miss Foster. Mrs. Bushill gave an interesting talk on "Four months' in Mallorca," which was much enjoyed. The business session was held during the afternoon. Howick.—There was a large attendance at the monthly meeting, when Members' Day was held. A duet by Mesdames Mcllroy and Cox was very much appreciated, while the competitions were won by Mesdames Mason and Dalbeth. Hostesses were Mesdames Webster, McLean, Turner and Black. ,
