SOCIAL JUSTICE.

[ Mrs. J. T. F. Mitchell, president, welcomed members and their friends to,a social evening held in the Overseas League rooms. Mr. Cuttep presided. The stage and lounge were gaily decorated with flags, which provided a fitting background to a "nautical programme," arranged by Mrs. V. Cla-y. Vocal and elocution items to suit the occasion were contributed by Mrs. Leonore Dunnett, Miss Elsie Dunham, Mr. Alex Olney, Mr. Harold Knight and Mr Knight, sen. The sailor's hornpipe was danced in costume by Miss Mavis Ward and pupils. Master Ken Ward was a small but entertaining Pop-eye in song and step dance. Marine slides were shown by Mr. Nelson Stedrnan. Canon Averill spoke of the work of the Crusade, and proposed a vote of thanks to the artists. Competition Winners were Miss McGowan and Master Robert Haworth.
