AMENDED SOCIALISM.
"Concerned" evidently is much concerned because he has stumbled on the "nigger in the woodpile," for it is obvioiM that the Hob. Adam Hamilton did not give sufficient thought to the speech h-i made which contained the statements so disturbing to "Concerned,'* and no doubt to other Nationalist supporters. The leader made a very bad break indeed, for if we have Socialism in this country, then the Nationalist party is pledged, if successful at the polls, to rescind (not amend) every piece of legislation placed on the Statute Book 'by the Labour Government, and then we are back where we started three year* ago. On the other hand, if Socialism is not with us. then "Concerned" and his political confreres must ask themselves if thev are not being- made the victims of political expediency. The Nationalist propaganda committee is in for a very tough time if, in its endeavour to bolster up its invention of *The Menace of Socialism." it is to be harassed by supporters who think for themselves. ONE WHO KNOWS.
