OFFER OF SITE ACCEPTED. HAMILTON PROPOSALS. (Bjr Telejfrapß.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Thursday. Advice from the State Housing Department that it would accept the Hainilton Borough Council's offer of Hayes Paddock, Hamilton East, as the site for a garden suburb was received at a meeting of the council last evening. The Department proposes to build 160 houses on the area, finance a scheme to road, kerb and channel the district, and build a. suspension bridge over this Waikato River. The work of reading, kerbing and'channelling is to be done by the council, r. T?he estimate of the, borough engineer, Mr. R. Worley, for this work and allp for drainage and the suspension bridge. is £13,04/.
