PLUNGE TO DOOM.
Five University Graduates Killed in Mine. NORTHERN QUEBEC TRAGEDY. (Received 12.30 p.m.) VANCOUVER, July 28. Five University engineer graduates were plunged 700 ft to their death in a runaway cage at the Lamaque gold mine, in Northern Quebec. The assistant superintendent was about to enter the cape, when it dropped to the bottom of the shaft.
