SEARCH BY THE POLICE.
ACTIVITIES AT TAHAROA,

KAWHIA, Sunday.
The search for the body of >he miesing Indian, Dalu Desai, aged 42 years, is now in its tenth week, and the police party is divided between dragging Lake Taharoa and combing the sandhills. Two motor boats manned by seven men are covering the lake, and the remainder ot the party, of 26 are devoting their attention to the eaudhills. It is understood that When Bhagranji Desai, Daln's fellow countryman, returned to the store yesterday.after an absence of six weeks, he found that tie building had been broken into and certain goods stolen.
