ATTACK BY CROWD.
Man Who Wished Close View Of Mr. Roosevelt. INNOCENT ACTION. (Received 11.30 a.m.) OKLAHOMA CITY, July 10. Apparently an innocent man, later identified as Woody Hockaday, who tried to get a better view of President Roosevelt as lie passed in an automobile, was arrested when the crowd, misunderstanding his forward movement, started to attack him. Secret Service officers released Hoekaday when, on being searched, it was discovered he had no weapons. Hockaday said: “I am a well-wisher of the President.” Mr. Roosevelt is touring the country on a Congressional campaign.
