STEAMER TREHATA.

GALE OFF THE COAST.

The steamer Trehata reports that she is hove-to in a westerly gale, position 100 miles east of Cuvier Island. The Trehata is a vessel of 4817 tons owned by the American and Australian Line, in charge of Captain Cundy, and is on a voyage from New York "to Auckland with general cargo.
