HOVE-TO.
STEAMER TREHATA.
GALE OFF THE COAST.
The steamer Trehata reports that she is hove-to in a westerly gale, position 100 miles east of Cuvier Island. The Trehata is a vessel of 4817 tons owned by the American and Australian Line, in charge of Captain Cundy, and is on a voyage from New York "to Auckland with general cargo. She was expected early this morning, but the New Zealand Shipping Company, local agents for the line, now expect her to make port to-morrow morning.
