DAISY CHAIN CLUB.
Mrs. Lord presided over a large gathering at the weekly meeting yesterday. The secretary. Mrs. Barfoot, opened with the reading of the thought for the day, after which followed an excellent entertainment arranged by the ladies of tables Xos. (( and 7. By this effort the "good cheer'' box for helping the sick and needy greatly benefited. Elocutionary numbers were rendered bv Miss Warn n. and a trio by "Three Friendly Kills" was well received. Mrs. Bi idgens gave violin solos, accompanied by Mrs. Dye. A mystery parcel competition was won by Mrs. Burrows, a novelty prize by Mrs. Bridgens, and a fairy tale competition by Mrs. Mardle. Mrs. Cunningham was the winner of a name guessing competition and Mesdames 0. Orrell and Staladi won lucky numbers. Mrs. Abbott was the winner of a bean guessing competition.
