HAWKE'S BAT DOWNPOUR.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HASTINGS, Tuesday. Heavy intermittent rain lias fallen throughout Hawke's Bay during the last two days, but there are no fears of iloodin" at present. The smaller stream* have risen l>y as much as Ift, but the main rivers are normal. An exceptionally heavy downpour occurred at Napier this afternoon, and for a period many of the streets were flooded to a depth of several inches.
