BACKBLOCKS ROADING.
ISOO MILES COMPLETED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, this day. Of 0000 miles of backblocks roads included in the Government's five-year programme for building, regrading and metalling, something like 1200 miles had been completed, although a start had not been made until the middle i f last summer, said the Minister of INiblV Wlorka, the Ht>|i. R. Scmple.. At that rate of progress the programme would be carried through in three and a half or four years.
