DINNER LATE.
TTTVRNE BAY POWER FAILURE. Dinner was late in many homes last night, when, as the result of a> fault in the high-tension system, the suburban area in" Ponsonby and Herne Bay between the Three Lamps and Cox's Creek was intermittently without electric power between 5.20 and 0.30 p.m. Candles were produced from odd corners by 'many householders. The cause of the failure was discovered at about six' o'clock, and repairs were effected. There | wero ( i three breaks in the supply before j the power was made fully available.
