FRUIT SALES SLOW.

LOW PRICES FOR PEARS. CABBAGE SUPPLIES INCREASE. Large quantities of dessert and cooking apples were offered at to-day's sales at the City Markets, but the demand was dull and poor grades sold at low prices. Values for dessert and cooking pears were low, except for fancy lines. iree tomatoes and iiotfiouse tomatoes were 111 lair demand. At to-day's auctions the supply of poultry was medium and the demand was keen. The prices paid were about the same all round. Fat roosters: Heavy breeds, prime 3/ to 4/; light breeds, 2/ to 3/. Fat hens: Heavy breeds, 3' to 4/: light breeds, 2/ to 3/. Pullets: Heavy breeds, best 4 6 to 6 6. smaller 2/ up; light breeds, best 4/ to 7/, smaller 2/ to 3,'. Drakes: Young, prime, 3/ to 4/; smaller. 1 6 to 2 6.
