STAFF DANCE.
GORDON AND GOTCH, LTD
The League of Penw-Oiiien's rooms presented a festive appearance on Saturday evening, when the combined staff of Messrs. Gordon and I lotoli. (Australasia), Ltd.. Auckland House, held a social evening and dance. The colour scheme of the decorations, which were carried out l.v members of the committee, were green and gold with acacia forming a golden background. Two banners bearing the G. and G. ensign were a feature of the decorations. The dancers took full advantage of the excellent music provided by the orchestra.
A pleasant feature of the evening was vocal items contributed by Miss Klsie Gaily and Mr. R. Richards, and an amusing sketch by Mrs. A. Hinkley and Mr. W. Tredrea.
The committee comprised Miss Agnes Douglas, wearing Coronation red velvet; Bibbv Williams, black taffeta diamante trimmings; Hilary Booth, ivory taffeta, scarlet corsage: Messrs. A. Prestling. W. Piper. <J. Brewer. R. Paterson, and J. Dore. The guests were received by the manager. Mr. R. A. Loe. and Mrs. Loe, who wore ivory floral georgette with blue trimmings.
