ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME.
SONGS AND PLAYS
The monthly meeting of the Amkland Prencli (. liili was lield I:»st e\'*Miintr in the rooms of the Penwomen's Club. There was a large attendance of members, who greatly enjoyed th.- programme arranged hv the 'p; esalenr, Mr. (!. S. Coldham. and TMrs. Coldhani.
Items included French songs. "Ouvr< Tes Yeux Bleus" and "Le Sais TuY" h\ Miss 'I hora Davidson, accompanied I>\ Mrs. Sholto Smith, and a French rea<i ing, "La Conversion du Soldat Brom mit." by Miss Joan Maclatirin.
The speaker for the evening. Mr. J). W. Faigani, 'gave a most Interesting address in French on the mvsterv surrounding the fate of the voiing son of Louis X\ L ami Marie Antoinette, who were executed during the Reign of Terror.
Two one-act comedies were presented during the evening, and were much appreciated. In the first, '"Deux Converts" (Saclm CJuitry). parts were taken by Miss A. R. Allum. Mr. W. K. T. Fowler and Mr. G. S. Cold ham. The second, "IVAblette" (Maurice Ordonnean), was iiiterpreted by Miss Betty Dninimond. and Messrs N. B. Bod v. B. I. Fulton, P. F. Egan, and H. W. James.
