German Patience With Czechs Nearly Exhausted. STATE OP WAR ON FRONTIER. United Press Association—Copyright. { J (Received 1.30 p.m.) LOXDOX June 12. Addressing Stettin Nazis, Herr Rudolf Hess, deputy leader of the Nazi party, violently attacked Czechoslovakia. ' He warned the world that Germany's patience was nearly exhausted. He added that Czechoslovakia could not maintain law on her frontiers where a virtual state of war existed, nor protect the lives of citizens. She was a menace to Europe.
On the eve of the final instalment of the municipal elections, being day, Czechoslovak Jegal experts worked all day and night trying to devise a new formula whereby it is hoped to dovetail most of the Sudeten Germans' demands into the Governments minorities statute.
The Government has agreed in | principle to accept the Sudeten Germans' memorandum of June 8 as a basis for discussion. The Government has appealed for voluntary contributions toward defence and £2,000,000 has already been subscribed. The Parliamentary leaders of the Sudeten Germans have declined to advise their party's participation in the Czechoslovak national defence loan. A clash occurred between Czechs and Sudeten Germans at Warmdorf, which resulted in 47 Germans being arrested. One thousand others demonstrated and the release of those arrested was eventually granted.
