MODEL YACHTING.
PONSONBY CLUB. The Ponsonby Model Yacht Club held three races yesterAay afternoon in St. Mary's boat harbour. There was a fre«h breeze from the south-west, and the racing was keen. Master Hoyte Matthews did well with his new three-footrer Cynttila, winning the I'oint Erin Cup and the general handicap for Mr. G. H. Broun's trophy. Watchman Cup. four footers. —Mako (T. Ambridge) 1, Restless tW. Kverett) 2, Waitere (W. A. Wllletto) 3. Seven started. Point Krin Cup (juniors under 21). — Cynthia (H. Matthews) 1, Betty \T. Ambridge) 2. General Handicap (Mr. G. Broun's trophy).—Cynthia (H. Matthews) 1, Lark tH. Erickson) 2, Ariel (X. Buckland) 3. Seven started. The next races will I>e held in a fortnight, which will be the final for the season. Mr. AY. T. Matthews was officer o' the day.
