When the second thousand was completed Bryan still had the lead, followed bv Christie, Dunn, Brown and I'arkes. Passing the grandstand for the last time Christie moved up on Bryan, these two being well ahead of the others. In the last 200 yds Christie continued to gain on Bryan, and looked the winner when Bryan gamely sprinted over the last 80yds, to win by 12yds. The result was : F. J. Brvan (120s). 11.46, 1; I). Christie (Sss), 11.50 2; R. S. Brown (325), 11.54, 3. Parkes 11.55, Dunn 12.29, and Heilly 12.40 were next best.
