WOMEN SENT TO GAOL.

* Sjentences of three months' imprisonment were imposed on Constance Augustine, aged 49, married, and Edna May Mitchell, aged 29, married, on a cliarte of shoplifting. By substituting % cheaper ring, they stole a ring valued at £?7 10/. The accused, who were mother and daughter, were discharged on a Series of other charges of a more [ordinary kind.
