SNOW AT LAST.

HEAVY MT. EGMONT FAIX. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday. The first heavy fall of snow this winter covered the slopes of Mount this morning. Xot for years has the snow been so long delayed. The extraordinarily long autumn and mild winter temperatures have kept the mountain in its summer bareness, and ski enthusiasts were becoming perturbed because they were deprived of sport which normally at this time of the year would be in full swing. Though heavy enough to be permanent, this morning's fall did not reach down as far ae the hostels. Two li<rht sprinklings of enow earlier in May quickly disappeared.
