ACTION AGAINST DOCTOR.
THE CASE FOR THE DEFENCE. (From Our Correspondent.) PALMERSTONX., Wednesday. Counsel's addresses and the "judge's summing up liavc yet to be heard in the case in which Mrs. Olivo Pita Paterson, dressmaker, of Palmerston North, is claiming damages from Dr. Kenrick Dean for alleged •wrongful treatment of a knee injury. In the Supreme Court today all day was " devoted to hearing evidence for the defence.
All the witnesses were med'eal men, whose opinions were to the cTcct that the present condition of the knee was not the result of the treatment, butisolely what v.as to be expected under the eirinmstanees. The particular injury to the bone was described as a rare I one, .'i purpfcou statins that out of over J 400 X-ray examinations of injured knees lie had made in the past 10 years there wera onbr fir, in th» eame category.
