"CHURCHING MAYOR."

SERVICE NEXT SUNDAY.

AUCKLAND ARRANGEMENTS. Citizens of Auckland have been invited to attend the special service for "Churching the Mayor,'' which will be held at St. Matthew's I'luirch on Sunday morning, a service which will also commemorate the King's birthday, which will be observed on the following day, and one that will coincide with the Festival of Whitsuntide, which perpetuates the birth of the Christian Church.

Archbishop A. W. Averill -will conduct the service. There are expected to be in attendance members of the Auckland City Council, Auckland Hospital Board and other local bodies, also members of the Consular Corps, Victoria Leajnie, Lepion of Frontiersmen, and various or<ra nidations.

The vicar, the Rev. G. V. Gerard, and the port chaplain, the Rev. H. K. Vickery, will assist with the service.
