FACIAL ECZEMA.
CAUSE BEING SOUGHT.
SPECIAL PERMANENT STAFF. Continuous investigation into the cause of facial eczema among stock has already been arranged by the Government. An announcement to this effect was made at to-day's meeting of the council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce in a lettiT received from the Hon. F. Minister of Lands. The Minister stated that a special committee liad been set up and a team of research workers was in the Waikato district conducting investigations under the control of Mr. J. F. Filmer, 8.V.5., who ha» had considerable experience in research into stock problems in Australia.
The information was given following on representations made by' the chamber at a recent meeting, when a vote of sympathy with the farmers was passed. The letter was received.
