- ■' - * MOUNT EDEN RATES. The Mount Eden Borough Council at its meeting last night struck a new consolidated rate of 4/2J in the £. Last year the rate was 4/1. but in addition there was an annual charge of 7/6 for the collection of rubbish. The latter charge has ljoen eliminated and the new consolidated rate of 4/21 is the equivalent of the total amount- struck la*t year. In the estimates for this year f.VjOO has been allocated for streets and footpaths, £1700 for street lighting and £1858 for parks and reserves. t
