CITY BUILDING.
ACTIVITY MAINTAINED. ERECTION OF DWELLINGS. Building activity is being maintained in the city of Auckland, the value of permits issued by the Auckland City Council for the past month being £69,380. A total of 171 permits wa* issued, including 2o dwellings. For the live months' period of the present year permits to the value of £3415,805 have been issued, this exceeding the aggregate for the same period of last year by over £55,000. Permits for 117 dwellings have been issued this year to date, compared with 115 for the same period last year. The monthly totals, with those of the past two years, are as follow: —
