CROQUET CLUBS.
HILLSBOSO* AFTERNOON. The members of the Hillsboro' croquet club held a successful card afternoon. Th© president, Mrs. "Whillans, welcomed the players, and at the end of the afternoon presented prizes to the following winners:—Bridge, Mesdames Donaldson and Wilkin; 500, Mesdames Whillans and Putland. Those -present were Mesdames J. C. Badeley, W. A. Somerville, C. R. Wilson, D. Donaldson, Torrance, Oswald, Coutts, Whillans, Seymour, Stringer, Forsyth, Pntland, Allen, Belcher, Dalbeth, Greenville, Thompson, Ward, Dow, Clarke, Watson, West, Aitken, Mosley, Mackenzie, McKean, Brand, and Misses Brown, Mackwood, and Whitehoqse. I■■ *V V • • .m ■ OtshchO.—The thirty-second annual meeting of the club was held in the pavilion last week. The report and balance-sheet showed that the club had had a successful season. The following officers' were elected:—President, Mrs. Gillies; vice-presidents,'Mesdames Parkinson and Ptengelly; secretary, Mrs. Fragelly; treasurer, Mrs. Huggins; match committee, Mesdames Kim her, Norton and Taylor; general committee, Mesdames Pearse, E Moffit, Lstta and Mclvor. .
