" N.Z. WOMAN'S WEEKLY." i CHILDREN'S FANCY DRESSES. This week's issue of the "New Zealand Woman's Weekly" contains a variety of reading. In view of the situation in the Far. East, the article entitled "Women and Modern Japan" is of particular interest. The three short stories are "A Wedding in the Spring," "Heroes Come High" and "The Exit Door." The Ideal Home Exhibition at Olympia is the subject of an article and illustrations sent by air mail from Ellie Bailey, the '"New Zealand Woman's Weekly" representative in London. The beauty of Lisbon and its old-world customs are described on another page. The fijm pages contain a story by a famous producer, entitled "My Secrets of. the Stars." The making of Bulgarian embroidery, so popular with all women, is described and illustrated. New fashions are set out in pictorial form, and directions are given for the making of a jumper with a polo collar, and another trimmed with cables. This week readers have the choice of eight free patterns—designs for the women and fancy dresses for the children. For the little woman are given dress hints.

Tlie second of the series of the "Diary of an Ordinary Housewife" is in thi6 issue, and there is an interview with a well-known artist.
