LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.
Newton East.—The May meeting was presided over by Mrs. Ohms. The members of the Remuera No. 3 branch arranged the programme and provided afternoon tea. Those contributing items during the afternoon were: Mesdames Bennett (songs), Poole (recitations) and Miss Flynn (songs). Mrs. Wright, president of Remuera No. 3 branch, and a provincial vice-president, gave an address on the responsibility of every member to her branch, to the province and to the New Zealand movement of the league. Mrs. Miles gave the thought for the month.
