MANUKAU COUNTY DECISION
Bv five votes to throe, the Mnmikmi County Council, at a nieetin.tr to-day, decided to forbid eyelu racing in the county. I his decision arose from discussion following the receipt of a letter from the Metropolitan Cycle Club, which requested permission to hold races on roads in the Manpcio ridinjr. -Messrs. V. M. Waters, chairman. S: \V House and ,1. Luke voted apainst the Ikih. Mr. Waters made a stron« plea it-ainst it. statin- that he believed in encoura.uin.ir any form of athletic sport I his view was upheld by Messrs House and Luke.
