TJndter-Secretary for India and Burma.—Lieut.-Colonel A. J. Muirhead. Under-Secretary for Air.—Captain Balfour. Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade.—Mr. R. H. Cross. Lord Edward Montagu Cavendish Stanley, who was born in 1894, has been Parliamentary Under-Secretary o£ State, India Office and Burma Office, since 1937. He was formerly Parliamentary UnderSecretary, Dominions Office, in 1935, and Parliamentary and Financial Secretary to the Admiralty, from 1931 to 1935, ami 1935 to 1937. From 1924 to 1927 he was Junior Lord of the Treasury. Mr. Malcolm Mac Donald liar held the position of Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs since 1935. From 1931 to 1935 he was Parliamentary UnderSecretary, Dominions Office, and was Secretary of State for the Colonies in 1935. Be was born in 1901. Sir;Kingsley Wood, who is 57 years of age, was appointed Minister of Health in 1935. On previous occasions he had been Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Minister of Health and Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health. Other posts which he held were Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education and Postmaster-General. He , has also held several positions in relation to National Insurance. .

He was formerly hon. vice-president,of the Association of British .'Chambers of' Com me ice, and secretary to the Overseas Trade Department, while from 1935 Jo 1936 he vrae Under-Secretary of State for Scotland. He was bora in 1881.

Mr. Walter Klliot hae been Secretary of State for Scotland since 1936. He was Parliamentary Secretary for Health for Scotland on two previous) occasions, while he also held the post of Financial Secretary to the Treasury, and was Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries.

Captain Kuan Wallace has been Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade eince last year. Soon after the Great War he was' Parliamentary Secretary to the First Lord of the Admiralty and to the" Secretary of aTi-te for the Colonies. He was an Assistant Government Whip from. 1928 to 1929, and was Lord of the Treasury for two years. Captain Wallace was Civil Lord of the. Admiralty for four yearx, Under-Secretary of State for Home Affairs in 193.5, and Secretary to the Department of Overseas Trade from 1935 to 1937. He is 4.1 years of age.

Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead, who was horn in 1890. was appointed to the position of Under-Secretary of State in the Air Ministry in 1937. He was Parliamentary Private Secretary to two Ministers of Agriculture, and was Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture from 1935 to 1937. He had a long and widely varied wartime career.

Captain Harold Harington Balfour, who fe 41 years of age, has been M.P. for the Isle of Thanet since 1929.

Mr. Ronald Hibbert Cross has been a Lord of the Treasury (unpaid) eince 1937. He is 42 years of ago and was a Government Whip from 1935 to 1937.
