TAKANINI TRIALS.
PALUSTRE GOES FAST.
Fast work a£ Takanini this morning was carried out on the inside grass, on which the poles were out Bft. The going was good, but there was not much galloping.
Flood Tide and Valamito ran a mile in 1.40 3-5, the final six furlongs taking LIB. Flood Tide was a nhnrie in front at the end. but Valamito also went well, thouuli neither was ridden out. High Sea just shaded Siega over , the last six furlongs of their work in 1.19 3-5, with Silver Glow, who joined in at the five-furlong post, hali a length away. Milanion finished in front of Brazilian at the conclusion of half a mile in 53 3-ss. Over a similar distance Pa lustre gave Lnpidorian a couple of lengths' start and had half a length the better of it in 50s. W.vkem-ist (T. Green) and Chief Lap (P. Mcllroy) gave a first-rate exhibition over four hurdles.
