Mr. A. E. Eastwood, of Sydney, is visiting Auckland after an absence of 25 years.

Mr. H. T. Speight, of Dunedin, was a passenger by the Aorangi to-day for Vancouver.

Mr. H. C. McCoy returned from Wellington by the Limited express this morning.

Paymaster-Lieutenant H. R. Butchere returned from Wellington by the Limited express this morning.

Mr. D. F. Reid, manager of the Bank of New Zealand in London, and Mrs. Reid, who have been spending a holiday in the Dominion, left by the Aorangi today en route to England.

Mr. G. F. Johnston, traffic manager for the Canadian National Railways in Australia, and Mrs. Johnston, are through passengers from Sydney by the Aorangi, which left Auckland to-day for Vancouver.

Brigadier- Qeneral H. W. Lloyd, a member of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales, is spending about two weeks in the Dominion before returning to Australia.

Rear-Admiral the Hon. E. R. Drummond, commodore commanding the New Zealand division of the Royal Navy, will leave for Wellington .by the limited express this evening.

Mr. K. S. Falla and Mrs. Falla left Auckland by the Aorangi to-day for Vancouver, en route to England.

Mr. A. H. Johnstone, K.C., vice-presi-dent of the Auckland University College, was appointed at a meeting "of the College Council ae a representative of the college on the New Zealand University Senate. The vacancy arose through the death of the late president, Mr. H. J. D. Mahon.

Mr. A. E. Glassey, a former Liberal member of Parliament for East Dorset, and Lord Commissioner of the Treasury in the British National Government in 1931, who has been spending a month's holiday in New Zealand, left by the Aorangi to-day for Vancouver, en route to England. He is accompanied by Mrs. Glassey.
