ONEXANGI INTERESTS.
A general meeting of the Onetangi Katepayers and Residents' Association was held on Saturday night, at which there was a good attendance, presided over by Mr. F, C. Davies. Correspondence was read from the State Forest Service regarding tree planting on the beach front, a scheme for which the association has under consideration. Messrs. Davies and T. Qnelch were appointed to wait on the Ostend Road Board regarding a site for a bathing shed on the beach. For the purpose of this Mrs. J. Edgar offered to supply roofing iron. The same two, with Mr. R. Carter, were appointed a sub-committee # to confer with the Ostend Ratepayers' Association to arrange functions so as to avoid clashing in dates and to discuss matters of common interest. It was decided to make efforts to secure through telephone communication with the police station at Oneroa.
