UNDEFENDED DIVORCES.
CHIEF JUSTICE'S COMMENT.
(From Our Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Saturday. A list of undefended divorce petitions was dealt with by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, in the Supreme Court. His Honor commented that there seemed to be an epidemic of restitution cases in Hamilton. On the grounds of respondents' failure to obey orders for the restitution of conjugal rights, decrees nisi were granted as follows: —Charles George Hillier against Gwendoline Margaret Hillier; John Charles Colson against Ida Colson; Samuel David Priest against Barbara Dorothy Priest. Decrees ordering restitution within 14 days were granted to Willian Henry Slater against Sarah Olive Slater; Magnus Herbert Koch against Lillian Elizabeth Koch; John Richard Clifton against Alinda Clifton. The separation of the parties for three years or more was proved in the following cases in which decrees nisi were granted: — Jeanette Margaret Louisa Anne Fanning against Timothy Fanning; Aileen Alice Bridger against Roy Bridger; Eveline Lillian Turbott against Harold Bertram Turbott; Elizabeth May Barber against William James Barber. A decree nisi was granted to Charles William Evans McLeod against Vera Lillian McLeod on the grounds of respondent's adultery with George B rv ant.
