HALCYON CLUB.

OPENING FUNCTION,

To open this winter's social programme the Halcyon Club held a formal dance in the Assembly Hall of the j V.W.C.A. on Saturday evening. The president of the club, Mrs. Robinson, who wore black lace over anemone \ crinkle crepe, acted as hot-toss. Miss Klsie, Bennett, general secretary of the V.W.C.A., and Miss Hetty Thorpe were also present. The Monte Carlo was won l.y Mis* Xoll Storey and Mr. J. Williamson.
