The original entrie* and handicaps will stand for the retailed race, in which Meola, Water Beetle, and J.yla linirilied in this order.

The annual harbour race for model yachts, for a cup presented by Sir Krnesi Davis, with cash prizes for second, third and fourth boats, will be held to-morrow, starting oil' the Tainuki Yacht Clubhouse at 2.:»0 p.m. There are 22 entries all of the smartest three and four-footers of the I'oiiMoiiby. Orakei and Manukau l-'lulw taking part, and one entry, Speedwell, from J'oint Chevalier.

This race is always popular with the public who take an interest in these .small craft, and has been organised for the past six years by the commodore of the Taniaki Yacht, (.'bib. The first race was for a trophy donated by Mr. .11. Jackson, a model yacht eiitliusust of and now of Ouehuilgn. Tlie Heine Bay Club has a number of trophies tor competition by the Silver Kern class and two general handkaim will be held to-morrow afternoon.

In conjunction with the race for the Silver Feme and the open class, the annual race for the "Speedwell" Cup will be held off l'oiisonby wharf by request ot the Wakatere t'lub. From a field <>i over 20 boats this chine has dwindled to three cutties for to-morrow's race. It might be the final race and the hnndrUHue cup. donated by Messrs. Walker and Hall, could then be tfivcn for annual competition in the (Silver Kern class, the smallest clam of boats now rejtularly racing each season, and one which is tcrowing etcadily. The total by the opening of next neason will be about 20 boats. The Wakatere Club has every facility for building this class in its enlarged clubhouse, and if taken up with the tmille enthusiasm the club's fleet would soon rival the parent club.
