CREMATIONS AND BURIALS.
Cremations and interments were brieflly referred to at last night's meeting of the City Council when a recommendation of the Parks Committee increasing the cremation fees was adopted. In future a cremation on any day except Sundays and public holidays will cost £4 4/ and an extra guinea will be charged in the event of the remains being cremated on Sundays or holidays. It was aleo decided that the extra fee of 10/ payable for interment on Sundays be charged for burial on public holidays. Tke by-laws are to be amended accordingly.
