BRIDGE AFTERNOON.
MANY GUESTS ATTEND. A successful function was held in the concert chamber of the Town Hall yesterday afternoon, when the Mayoress' War Memorial Library League held a bridge, 500 and mah Jong 'party. The hall was arranged with deep green curtains, tubs of bamboo ami exotic palms, while large carpet squares covered the floors for the comfort of the guests.
The committee comprised: Lady Davis, president, who welcomed the visitors, Ahs. A. I). Campbell, vice-president. Mrs. K-. McN'air. secretary. Mrs. Preston Chambers. Mrs. F. (.'.Webster, Mrs. A. K. Moore, Mrs. K. Pilkington. Mrs. Arthur Nicholson and Miss L. Phillips.
l'rize-winners were: Bridge. Mrs. White; mah Jong, Mrs. Corbin; r>oo. Mesdaines Addison and Howden.
