BON VOYAGE PARTY.
A gift afternoon was held ro. <»i>tlv by Mrs. Bernard Gold water. King Edward Parade. Devonport. at her home for Mrs. W. C. Beaumont, who will leave on Friday for England. The drawing room was arranged with bowls of mauve and pink dahlias and chrysanthemums. A farewell ami "bon voyage" speech was made by Mrs. Goldwater. Mrs. Victor Macky and Mrs. K. Baxter recited poems they had composed suitable for the occasion. Recitations were also given by Miss Peggy Beaumont. Delightful gifts suitable for the voyage were brought and presented to Mrs. Beaumont by the. guests.
Mrs. Goldwater wore a frock of black georgette and lace relieved with a pink corsage. Mrs. Beaumont wore, a brown wool Viennese mode] suit relieved with fawn suede strappings."- •, Among those present' were: Mrs. Victor Mackv. Mrs. (i. X. Christian, Mrs. 0. T. Simpson, Mrs. J. X.
