VERY PROSPEROUS.
CONDITIONS IN AUSTRALIA. MR. W. R. FEE'S OBSERVATIONS. After a short holiday trip, Mr. W. R. Fee, immediate past-president of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, returnd to Auckland yesterday by the Wanganella from Sydney. He said he felt envious of the wonderful state of prosperity in Australia, one indication of which was the large amount of building that was going on in Sydney. An interesting development was the building of eight and nine storeyed flats, where rents lip to £5 5/ a week were quite common. As a New Zealand visitor, he had been amazed at the density of the crowds in Sydney, and he said that after experience of other parts of the world.
