NOT VICTIMISED.
MOUNT ALBERT WORKERS. A denial of an allegation by the Mount Albert Unemployed Workers' Movement that certain men employed under scheme 13 last January had been victimised by dismissal was made at last night's meeting of the Mount Albert Borough Council by the Mayor, Mr. 11. A. Anderson, who brought forward for confirmation in open meeting the findings of an inquiry conducted in committee. The findings, in four clauses, stated that as the result of a full and exhaustive inquiry it had been found that there had been no victimisation of any of the men and that they had been justifiably dismissed, the Unemployed Workers' Movement to be informed of the findings of the committee. An amendment to delete the clause which stated that the men were justifiably dismissed was defeated on a division and the findings of the committer of inquiry were confirmed by the council.
