WAIKATO DOG TRIALS.
(From Our Correspondent.) CAMBRIDGE. Tuesday. One of the larger crowds ever seen at the Central Waikato Sheep Dog Trials Club's annual trials attended the linal da;.at Dingle.v Dell. Pukerimu. A feature of the trials was the shedding event, held for the tirst time in New Zealand. Final results were as follow :— Shedding Event.—E. Broad's Gwen 1. H. P. Hewitt's l.u 2. P. Ellis' Tot 3. Shedding Ajigreitate for Xowl«« Kins Cup.—H. r. Hewitt's l.u 1, E. Broads Gwen 2. B. Ellis' Tot 3. Huntaway.—R. Coogan 1, F. Woolston's Dark 2, A. Woolston's Mac 3. linal of the Short Head for Aggregate Cup.—W. Lang's Kai. D.C.1,. Cup for I,oca 1 Dogs.—H. P Hewitt's liu. Long Head Aggregate Cup.—X. Clifford s Key and W. Lang's Kai. tie. Maiden Competition, showing best generalship.—F. Carter.
