ABBEY LASS AT PAEROA. CHALLENGE STAKES TO DEFAULTER. NOITARO AND CELTIC LAD COMPLETE DOUBLES In winning the Waihi Handicap at Paeroa, Abbey Lass was responsible for a big surprise, while in the earlier races Noitaro and Celtic Lad had completed winning doubles. The North Island Challenge Stakes resulted in a narrow victory for Defaulter, with Oratory and Icing in the minor places.
