SUICIDES IN VIENNA.
Tomb of Honour for Murderer Of Dollfuss. PROSECUTOR TAKES OWN LIFE. (Received 11 a.m.) VIENNA, March 17. It is proposed to transfer to a tomb of honour the body of Otto Planetta, who was executed for the shooting of Dr. Dollfusa. The suicides are reported of Dr. Russo. Director of Credit; Herr Anstalt Klausliner, Director of the Chain Shoe Stores; and Dr. Gruenwald, an architect. A message from Prague states that Dr. Kreisler. who helped to prosecute the murderers of Dollfuss, has committed suicide. His mother has lost her reason. The German war flag was ceremoniously hoisted at the Vienna Defence Ministry. FRONTIERS SAFE. HITLER S ASSURANCE TO SLAVS (Received 12 noon.) BELGRADE, March 17. Speaking in the Senate, Dr. Stojadinovic, the Premier, said that Herr Hitler had assured him that lie desired a strong Yugoslavia and also that the Yugoslav-German frontier should remain inviolable. He added that Yugoslavia would honour her pact with Czechoslovakia as defined in the Little Entente. GREATER GERMAN EMPIRE. HUNGARIAN RECOGNITION. (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 17. The Berlin correspondent of "The Times" says the Hungarian Government is the first to extend de facto recognition to the extended German Empire, by intimating its decision to change"; its' Embassy in Vienna into a Consulate. This information was conveyed to the German Foreign Office by the Hungarian Minister, who offered the warmest congratulations to Herr Hitler on the reunion of the German nation. LEGAL EXCHANGE RATE. MARK AND SCHILLING. (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 17. The Berlin correspondent of "The Times" says Herr Hitler has commissioned Dr. Schacht and two Austrian Ministers to fix the final legal exchange rate of the mark and schilling. It is anticipated that once the rate is fixed the schilling will gradually be displaced. STILL UNDER ARREST. NO TRIAL FOR SCHUSCHNIGG. (Received 11 a.m.) VIENNA, March 17. A Nazi spokesman said that Dr. Sehusehnigg is still in his house under protective arrest. He added there was no question of a trial for Dr. Sehusehnigg, who will be allowed to slip into obscurity.
