MIXED BIBLE CLASSES.
Mixed Bible classes, declared the Bishop of Bradford, Dr. J. S. Blunt, are an advantage in that "the boys and girls begin to .walk out together and eventually get engaged." He told a conference of the Council for Sunday Schools' Youth movement at Chester that a "matrimonial agency in connection with every Well-run church should be one of our organisations." "Out of a Bible class of 50 that I had for ten years I had half a dozen engaged couples, and I regard it as a great advantage to the Church that it happened so," he said. Dr. Blunt confessed later to a reporter that though his reference to matrimonial agencies was "leg pulling," he believed that any church agency whereby boys and girls could meet in desirable surroundings was a good thing. "Every parish priest is pleased when a couple of his best boys and girls start walking out together. The young people of whom I spoke were at Derby, and ■ were aged from 15 to 25. I watched the 1 progress of their love affairs, and later] married some of those young couples." J
