ENTERTAINING PROGRAMME.

SOLE BROTHERS' COMPANY.

On their visit to Auckland in the course of their New Zealand tour, Messrs. Sole Brothers have brought with them fascinating circus "stunts" entirely new to this held of entertainment. No fewer than 10 iresh items have been added M the programme and the spectacular feats displayed before a capacity house on Saturday night have established a high standard in circus performance#. The programme opens with a fine act by teh Cossack Ladies, whose tvpical coloured dresses contrast effectively with their white steeds. This act, not before seen in Auckland, is one of the highlights of the performance, and is shotly tollowed by a most amusing 10 minutes' antics by the "jolly jingling clowns,'' who, although farcical in appearance, are all gifted acrobats. A thrill never to be forgotten is the spectacle of Captain Andrews entering the cage of man-eating tigers armed with nothing more dangerous than a whip and an iron rod. i( .Trick ,ponies, trapeze artists and further "jollity" by the clowns" keep the show going with a swing. Miss Mackie. talented girl rider, gives mi exhibition display of trick riding, while double wirewalking, aerial ladders, . acrobatic displays, revolving ladders, monkey• and pony steeplechase. double trapeze acts. Olympian Gladiators and a host of other novel acts are included in the programme. I The thrill of the evening is the amazing performance of the Delevantie Sisters, one of whom, suspended high in the air. whirls her sister about in a series of stunts with only a leather strap held in her teeth to support her. Ghandi. the performing elephant, jumping greyhounds and a trick pomeranian act constitute the remaining items on the programme, which undoubtedly is one of the finest yet seen in Auckland. The circus will be in Auckland until next Saturday, with performances each day and a special children's programme on Saturday afternoon.
